GINGER SHOTS

Pop them both into your juicer and juice following manufacturer’s instructions. The amount of juice will be very small, as ginger is just not all that juicy. Try to use the freshest, least shriveled ginger you can find for maximum juice.
HOW TO MAKE GINGER SHOTS TASTE BETTER
Wellness shots typically don’t taste very pleasant. If you want tasty, try our Lavender Lemonade. There are some things you can do to make these shots a bit more tolerable, however. I like to add a little water and a couple drops of liquid stevia, or a peeled orange. They are more like a really concentrated ginger lemonade that way than a shot.
GINGER SHOTS

INGREDIENTS

  •  1 3-inch piece of ginger, peeled
  •  1 lemon, peeled
  •  pinch ground cayenne pepper
  •  organic liquid stevia, to taste (optional)
  •  2 oz. water

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place the peeled ginger and lemon in a juicer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to juice. A very small amount of juice will come out.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Drink as a small shot (warning, it will be very strong and spicy) or dilute with water and sweeten to taste with a couple drops of stevia.
  • If not consuming immediately, store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
